Session: Advances in DORIS: Data, Antennas, and Modeling

Presentation type: Oral

In 2015, CNES and IGN started to gradually replace Starec B ground antennas with Starec C ones over time. That new model of antenna re-sults from an improved manufacturing process for consolidated specifi-cations, better repeatability and reduced standard uncertainties of the 2GHz antenna phase center position. In parallel, the fourth generation of DORIS beacons started to supersede the third ones from 2019. That fourth generation was developed to ensure the sustainability of produc-tion with better electronics components and to improve the antenna en-vironment by increasing the beacon-antenna distance.
After the presentation of the site selection criteria and the choices of the station coordinate time series, we assess the impact of these antenna and beacon upgrades on the quality of the DORIS station positioning.
