Abstract:

The ITRF2013 is expected to be an improved solution compared to
ITRF2008, not only due to longer data-span, but also to
improved data analyses at both the techniques and the
combination levels. In this paper, we address some key
questions regarding the ITRF2013 elaboration: frame
specifications (origin, scale, orientation and their time
evolution) and how they will relate to ITRF2008; non-linear
station motions (seasonal signals and post seismic
deformations) and how they will be modeled; local ties and
station co-motions and how they will be weighted, taking into
account technique discrepancies at co-location sites. A
specific focus will be given to the quality assessment of the
IDS contribution and how it compares to SLR and VLBI in origin
and scale components, and to GPS in velocity and local ties at
co-location sites.
