Abstract:

The recent release of a phase correction map for the Starec DORIS ground antennas raised the question of its correct usage. The impact on Doppler residuals or satellite precise orbits being negligible, the application of the phase correction with the appropriate sign could only be assessed through phase measurement analyses. Systematic and symmetric signatures in the post-fit phase residuals over several DORIS beacons, not removed by using the phase correction map, led us to try different approaches to cancel out this artifact: especially tracking station positions were solved-for using DORIS measurements, showing noticeable offsets with respect to ITRF2008 coordinates.
